At the next Investment Club, we're putting the active vs passive debate under the microscope with a distinctly Lucent twist.

For years, investors, commentators and fund managers have argued over one of investing's biggest questions: who really deserves the credit when portfolios succeed... and who gets the blame when they don't?

We'll be examining the evidence, interrogating the suspects, and separating fact from fiction. Does active management justify its fee? Is passive investing really as simple as it sounds? And if the evidence is so clear, why is this debate still raging?

But here's the twist…

As we dig deeper, we may discover that the biggest culprit isn't active funds or passive funds at all. It might be the person staring back at us in the mirror. In the session, we'll also explore the behavioural biases that influence our decisions, the stories we tell ourselves as investors, and why our emotions can sometimes have a bigger impact on returns than fund selection ever will.

As always, expect lively discussion, a few surprising findings, and perhaps a challenge to some firmly held beliefs.
